Pentax Espio 928M

SGD 250.00

Brand New Old Stock

Brand New: Camera is unused, pristine condition.

Old Stock: The unit was acquired from the latest/last batch of stocks available. They are the very last brand new pieces you'll ever find in the market.

Cosmetic Condition: 10/10
Functionality: 10/10

Focal range: 28mm - 90mm Aperture: F4.8 - F10.9
The prefix 'M' means Matrix Metering.

Compared to the 928, the 928M has a more advanced exposure/metering system.

The 928 only has a spot-metering option, where the camera will measure on a very small area (centre box) for the exposure. Where-else the 928M uses the matrix metering system to give you the best exposure by combining the multiple zones for the best result. Most common in SLRs.

The M model for this series, has an aperture range from F4.8-F10.9. Technically you could say that it is a slightly slower lens, but that does not refer to the speed of the camera. It is just a term to describe the amount of light entering a wider aperture lens range.

This range is well suited for sharp street and portrait shoots (F4 ~ is the general standard aperture most street photographers will consider 'sharp') , not to mention; landscape photos will be more detailed and sharper than the 928 (max. F9).

Also the difference between the aperture is made up in exposure compensation. Which is relative to both models.

Besides the exposure/metering system, the other differences are the autofocus range, flash effective range and weight. The housing for the 928M has more metallic finishing, more classy look.

Comparatively both differences below:

928 •Programmed Auto-exposure control. •Autofocus: 0.58m-Infinity •Flash Range: 0.58m - 5.0m (28mm Wide), 0.58m - 2.4m (90mm Tele) •Weight: 315g

928M •Programmed Auto-exposure control with Matrix Metering •Autofocus: 0.5m-Infinity •Flash Range: 0.5m - 7.4m (28mm Wide), 0.5m - 3.9m (90mm Tele) •Weight: 230g
